Our philosophy at Bright Beginnings is to provide a balance of directed play, discovery and teacher directed time. Our daily schedule helps all children learn to cope with transition and learn to follow directions. In our class children will learn and refine the social skills needed for being in a group setting: sharing, taking turns, listening and considering others feelings. At Bright Beginnings kids are like "family", they learn to get along, overcome problems, help, support, and respect each other. We create a positive environment by modeling respectful behavior and offering strategies and guidance to overcome problems.

Our mission is to provide high quality, developmentally appropriate child care for each individual child's age and ability to stimulate social, cognitive, physical and emotional growth, also to provide a safe, nurturing and recreational environment for school age children. We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. Each child is considered unique in temperament and rate of development.

Our Preschool Program

Our curriculum is planned to enhance and challenge particular, distinct individual needs, interests and abilities. By building on each child’s unique strengths, interests and curiosities. We guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.

The educational programs at Bright Beginnings Preschool was created with our children’s needs in mind to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. No matter what your child needs, each of our programs will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth.

Our Testimonials

My son Michael has been attending Amy’s Daycare (Bright Beginnings) since he was 3 years old and he’s now 8 and in 2nd grade and attends for after school care. My other son Jacob has been at Amy’s since he was 4 months old and is now 2 years old. It’s always such a relief to know that your kids are cared for by loving, nurturing providers that you trust. Amy and her assistants Laurie and Blanca are so helpful, easy to talk to and make a great team. My boys have learned so much from being at Bright Beginnings and also enjoy all of the extra activities that are provided monthly as cooking, birthday celebrations, martial arts class and guest speakers as fireman or policeman. There is always something fun and new for the kids to enjoy. I don’t know what I would do without the care of Amy and her staff at Bright Beginnings!

Both my boys attended Bright Beginnings Preschool! We all loved our time there! Amy and her staff are loving, caring and thoughtful  to each individual child. The curriculum is engaging, age appropriate and fun! My oldest was prepared for Kinder because of the love and support that he was provided. Not only academically but also with social needs. Bright Beginnings is a family and a wonderful preschool!  My family was blessed to have Amy and the staff as part of our village in educating our boys!

I remember the first day me, my son and his Grandma went for a tour of Bright Beginnings Child Care and Preschool prior to his enrollment. I was recommended by a co-worker to check out Bright Beginnings.  What can I say, after leaving our tour, me and my mom (Grandma) had tears in our eyes! Tears of joy, that is! I could tell that Ms. Amy truly loves what she does and loves all of the kids like her own! My son is now 4, loves to go to school every day. We will be so sad once he graduates from Ms. Amy’s Preschool. He has told me multiple times that he wants Ms. Amy to attend big kid school with him and for me that surpasses all of my expectations! I love that I can be at work and be at ease that my son is safe and out of harm’s way! This is truly the best daycare/preschool! Ms. Amy and her teacher assistants are patient, helpful and kind. I can’t say enough about them! Bright Beginnings is our second home!

I love Bright Beginnings Child Care/Preschool! It’s clear that Amy and her team are true professionals who love what they do and love the kids in their care. The communication to parents is excellent, they keep us posted on how the kids are doing and upcoming events. Amy has a calendar with fun activities planned for every day, including activities that involve visits from local police, fire department, dentist, and martial arts instructors. The kids are always learning new songs, letters, numbers and subjects. My daughter loves her teachers so much that when we see them in the community she wants to hang out with them as long as possible. I’m so happy I found this preschool and thankful for the ladies that take such amazing care of my kids.

I have taken my kids to Amys Daycare for over 6 years between my 2 children. They both started there at 4 months old when I went back to work.  Her home daycare is the closest thing to having them with me. They are loved on, taken excellent care of, and they have thrived academically under her supervision. I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to take my kids there. She also has excellent staff that are so kind and gifted with children. There are not enough superlatives to describe my level of happiness.
